When everyone can generate, taste is the only thing left to own.

A unique 6-week course. You will leave with a portfolio-grade body of work, a documented creative method, and a sharpened 'directorial eye.' Whether you are heading to college or pitching for high-level creative roles, you'll have a signature that sets you apart. In a world where AI can create infinite output, it is not the technical skill that will set you apart, it is your authentic voice, your direction. Your decisions.

Emily O'Flynn

I am Emily O'Flynn — fine artist, graphic designer, former gallery curator, and art-college lecturer. I've spent nearly twenty years directing other people's work and teaching creatives to go professional. Now I teach you to do it for yourself: to find your voice, develop your taste, and author work that's unmistakably yours — with AI used only as a mirror, never a maker.

Room Selection

Choose Your Room

Four curated pathways designed for every stage of your creative journey, from foundation to authorship.

Room I · Ages 16–19

Build a portfolio with a voice

Admissions tutors see a thousand technically-good portfolios. They remember the ones that sound like someone.

Room II · Ages 19+

Enter college on your own terms

You're not behind. You're arriving with material an eighteen-year-old doesn't have — a life. Let's direct it.

Room III · Graduates

Signature: from operator to author

You can already make anything. That's exactly the problem. What gets you hired is a signature — when everyone can generate, taste is the only thing left to own.

Room IV · Mid-Career

Self-Directed: find your way back

You're not blocked. You're undirected. There's a difference — and it's fixable. Find your way back to the work.

The Five-Part Spine

Every programme runs on the same five-part weekly spine: inner work → creative practice → AI mirror → live session → deliverable. You make something every week. You leave with artifacts, not affirmations.

01. Inner Work

A deep dive into your personal history, values, and the core motivations that drive your creative practice.

02. Creative Practice

Hands-on exploration of your chosen medium. You create a tangible piece of work that reflects your current state of mind.

03. AI Mirror

Using AI as a reflective tool to interrogate your themes, strengths, and blind spots in your work. I teach you how to avoid any sycophantic responses from AI, and how to use it as an honest and creative tool to help you find your directorial eye and vision.

04. Live Session

Weekly live online critique and direction. I help you refine your work and your voice with professional insight.

05. Deliverable

You leave with a final portfolio-grade body of work and a clear direction for your next creative chapter.

AI Rule

AI never makes your work. It's used only as a mirror — reflecting your themes, strengths and blind spots back at you. Everything stays yours.

CURATED INQUIRY

Frequent Questions

Creative direction is a practice of precise decision-making. Here is everything you need to know about starting yours.

Who is each 'Room' explicitly designed for?

Room I is for early creatives (16–19) building their first professional voice, building their portfolios, and applying to university/college . Room II is for those entering college with life experience. Room III is for graduates moving from technical operators to unique authors. Room IV is for mid-career professionals looking to rediscover their primary creative direction.

How does the five-part weekly framework actually function?

The 'Spine' is a rhythmic loop. You start with inner reflection, move into tactile practice, interrogate that work using AI as a mirror, attend a live critique for human direction, and finally produce a polished deliverable. This cycle ensures you leave with artifacts, not just ideas.

What's the difference between applying and the waitlist?

Admission is curated to ensure each Room has a balanced mix of perspectives. If applications are open, you can apply immediately for the next intake. When we reach capacity, you can join the waitlist to receive priority notification for the following term's window.

Will I be learning to use AI to generate art?

No. We treat AI as a mirror, not a maker. You will learn to use it to interrogate your own themes and blind spots, using its outputs to refine your own human-authored vision. Everything you produce remains unmistakably yours.

What tangible outcomes can I expect after completion?

You will leave with a portfolio-grade body of work, a documented creative method, and a sharpened 'directorial eye.' Whether you are heading to college or pitching for high-level creative roles, you'll have a signature that sets you apart. In a world where AI can create infinite output, it is not the technical skill that will set you apart, it is your authentic voice, your direction. Your decisions.

Is the program delivered live or pre-recorded?

It is a hybrid of self-directed practice and high-engagement live sessions. The curriculum provides the framework, but the live weekly critiques are where the actual 'direction' happens, ensuring your work is interrogated by a human eye. Do not worry though, recordings of the weekly classes will be available if you miss one, the only downside is that you will not be able to interact with your peers and teacher as during our live sessions.
